Choosing Contracts

Here’s the part where you tell everybody what powers you have. You start with 5 dots of Contracts, and at least two of them have to be spent on Court Contracts or Seeming Contracts that match your seeming. You’ve also got to purchase them in order—no skipping around to pick and choose which powers you want.

You can buy a one-dot clause of a Court Contract from whichever Court you like, no problem. But you can’t get any higher than that without joining a Court, and you’ve just showed up, so that’s a no-go. And the fifth dot of a Contract costs double, so you can’t have any of those yet, either. Other than that, go nuts.

While we’re here, let’s get Advantages out of the way, too.

Your Health is equal to your Stamina + Size scores. Your Size is probably 5, unless you’re bigger for some reason.

Your Clarity starts at 7, no matter who you are or what you’ve done. You’ve just escaped Arcadia, and you’re no saint, but you haven’t done anything horrendous yet.

Your Willpower is equal to your Resolve + Composure.

Your Wyrd starts at 1 dot, which means that your Glamour starts at 5. (It’s half your total Glamour pool. You can have up to 10, for now.)

Your Size is 5 unless stated otherwise.

Your Speed is Strength + Dexterity + 5.

Your Initiative is Dexterity + Composure.

Look at your Dexterity and your Wits. Which one’s lower? Whatever it is, that’s your Defense score.
